Description

This Medal represents the author of the fourth Gospel and the apocalypse, son of Zebedeo and brother of Giacomo. His writings are a peak of the Christian theology. He was disciple of Jesus, who called he and his brother “the thunder’s sons”. He simply defined himself “the disciple that Jesus loved”. He assisted to the Passion with Maria and with her he lived in Efeso. Here it died after the exile to Patmos. For Paul it was one “column” of the Church, with Peter and Jack.
