What is the meaning of the Peace Medal?
The medal's main symbol is the monogram of Christ, also called Chi-Rho or Chrismon. It is composed of two letters of the Greek alphabet: X (chi) and P (rho), which together represent the name of Christ.
This symbol has been used since ancient times as a Christian symbol and is one of the most important Christograms.
The medal also features the letters alpha (Α) and omega (Ω), the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet. They symbolize that everything has a beginning and an end: a condition found exclusively in the peace of Jesus.
The Chi-Rho, intertwined with the alpha and omega, forms the Latin word "Pax," meaning peace. In Greek, however, the same letters indicate Christ ("Christós").
The reverse of the medal depicts the face of the Madonna with the title Mater Ecclesiae (Mother of the Church), a very important symbol for the Christian faith.
This title became even more significant after the assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II in May 1981. Having miraculously survived, the Pope expressed his gratitude by placing a mosaic icon of the Mater Ecclesiae on the façade of a building between the Courtyard of San Damaso and St. Peter's Square.
Since then, the Mater Ecclesiae has been considered the protector of health and continues to be a powerful symbol of devotion.

The returned goods must be packaged with extreme care, preferably using the same packaging received upon delivery, to ensure adequate protection.
